Pearl Laser reduces wrinkles, uneven texture and solar damage with one or two treatments and is gentler with less overall recovery than other technologies to provide a healthy, pearl-like glow. Patients will notice overall skin clarity, smoothness and softness all from a 30 minute treatment with only 3-4 days of “social” downtime. Pearl treatment comes with follow up Microdermabrasion or Photo Rejuvenation – (suggested skin care products included).

Laser skin resurfacing is a popular procedure that can reduce visible signs of aging and certain skin imperfections. At Dr. Hiranaka’s office, we offer the Pearl™ laser system for effective and safe skin resurfacing, with noticeable results and a small amount of downtime.

What you should know

  • The Pearl treatment feels like a series of brief pinches. On a scale of 1-10, with 10 representing highest level of pain, most patients report the treatment feeling like a 2 or 3.
  • After treatment, the skin will look and feel mildly sunburned. Your practitioner will discuss post treatment care.
  • Many patients may need only one treatment. However patients may require two treatments spaced approximately one month apart to achieve the desired results.

Frequently Asked Questions

The Pearl™ laser resurfacing system is considered a next generation technology of skin remodeling. It is a state-of-the-art skin procedure that combines two lasers to improve superficial skin imperfections, as well as providing deeper skin remodeling for longer lasting results. The Pearl™ laser resurfacing system can give you real results without the extensive downtime and higher risk often associated with other laser resurfacing procedures.

During your consultation with Dr. Hiranaka and our medical esthetics team, your skin will be examined to determine whether Pearl™ laser skin resurfacing is the ideal treatment for you. We will discuss all of your skin concerns, review any contraindicating conditions, and explain our treatment options to help you achieve optimal results.

While some laser resurfacing treatments can require several weeks of extensive healing time, Pearl™ laser resurfacing typically only results in one week of downtime to accommodate redness akin to a sunburn, and moderate skin flaking as your new skin rises to the surface. Our office provides extensive homecare education and follow up treatments to ensure your optimal healing and results. As with any laser procedure, results may vary, and multiple treatments may be required to achieve your specific aesthetic goals.
